In cooperation with among others gerbera grower Holstein Flowers, Royal Brinkman has developed and extensively tested a bio-spreader: the “Uni Mite Row”. Holstein Flowers was the first to take this spreader into use: It spreads the biological material evenly over the plants. This way we can provide many plants at once with biological protectors.
As soon as the machine rides into the path, the spreader quickly drives to the end of the row. In the meantime, the ten sprinklers spread the biological material evenly over the plants. Biological protection is an important part of our environmental policy. We want to grow gerberas as sustainably as possible. We use as many natural enemies as possible to protect the gerberas against pests and diseases. Until now, we spread these by hand. With Royal Brinkman's Uni Mite Row, we can now spread the biological material much more efficiently and evenly. In this way we are even better able to control pests in a sustainable way.
